Chuey Martinez is the newest addition to the Latino 96.3 on-air team.

He has been working in different areas of radio since the age of 16. His first positions where in promotions and research, until gaining an on-air position at a major regional Mexican station in Phoenix, Arizona. After taking a year off, Chuey came to Los Angeles to work for a top-rated radio station for four years. The Latin market in Los Angeles was growing at a fast rate and Chuey wanted to make an impact in it. In November of 2005, Chuey joined L.A.'s reggaeton and hip-hop station Latino 96.3.

As a member of the promotions team, he quickly gained popularity and respect as the best MC at the station. Chuey received attention after getting on the mic at different clubs and concert venues. His Dominican and Mexican cultures have influenced his style and relationships with the station fans. Seven months later, he was promoted to an on-air personality.

Chuey is becoming a favorite to the Latino 96.3 listeners. Every time he talks on the mic, he talks to millions of listeners and does his best to entertain them. He enjoys talking to listeners, giving them prizes and taking their shout-outs. Chuey's motivation to be on the radio comes from his family.

Chuey has worked in a variety of radio departments and would like to use his knowledge to head a radio station as a programming director. He is also an actor and can be seen on nationally televised commercials and different network shows.

He was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley and attended college in Arizona, where he studied business and played football. He now resides in Los Angeles.
